Assignments

In-class Assignments

During the course, you will be asked to complete four in-class activities. Please see the detailed schedule for dates and times for these assignments and Canvas for specific grading details.

Note: To get the most out of this course, you will need to be present and participate. Of course, life happens. Therefore, if you are unable to attend, clear communication is essential. Please reach out to me and plan to catch up on the items you missed.

Brief Writes or Virtual Exchange

This course will have two choices for this grade component. You will have the choice of engaging in either three brief writing assignments or local virtual exchanges.
Writing Assignment Option: Each submission should be between 200 - 300 words (the average length of an academic paragraph) and include appropriate citations. Of course, attention to mechanics and spelling is expected. Please also refer to the rubric in Canvas for more details.
OR
The Cross Campus Connect: A UF-CF Virtual Collaboration Project: You will be teamed with a colleague at the College of Central Florida, meeting virtually with them three times during the semester to give and receive feedback on your website designs. You will have the option to meet at a time of your choosing and will receive specific guidance on providing feedback to your colleague.

Academic Website

You will develop a personal website during this course. This resource will be a dynamic resource that you can utilize while at UF and beyond. Websites allow you to control your narrative and showcase your skills and experiences. There will be five assignments that all culminate in a final website. Exact specifications will be covered in class and included in your CANVAS submission instructions. Please also see the rubric on the grading page for more details.
